Planting Tulips this Autumn

When planting tulips in pots, you may have experienced problems with rodents eating them. They are usually ok in the ground, but in pots they dig them up in minutes, so the best way to get round this is to but your tulips in deeper with narcissus (daffodils) ON TOP. This will stop them in their tracks because narcissus are toxic and once they smell them they won't dig down any further.
