Birds, Bees & Butterflies

While gardening this week a Red Admiral flew onto my van. I have been over the last few years carried on some of the work earlier garden designers have started by letting grasses go to seed, including rattle, knapweed, alliums, teasel and cowslips. These are important plants for the 3 B's, Birds, Bees and Butterflies.

I was truely rewarded when a Marbled White flew by. I haven't seen one for nearly 50 years. Last year there was a Green Fritilitary. If we can keep some of our gardens wild with native species then we will be providing their habitate, not just ours.
